note pad and adobe.. so as a newbie i got the learn HTML,,, yeah see that working not...

Nope!

Dreamweaver has a graphical interface that you can also switch to html, great for learning html as you go along but great graphical interface if you dont want to. :thumb:

Myself I use the 'coders' veiw in dreamweaver, its really helpfull with syntax highlighting, It's also useful for managing your files etc

 

There's plenty of coding applications out there, you just need to find one that suits, but please dont use frontpage lol, I've not tried out Expression Web though (microsoft frontpage replacement)..

Frontpage is okay for quickly knocking up a layout to get an idea of what you want.. but you can't really use it for anything serious. FP2003 is the only one worth using though, the previous versions produce hideous code.
