White dials in a van

ECA

Recommended Posts

Hi all

New to forum so bear with me. I know this has been covered before but I can't seem to find it. I have a '98 diesel escort van (non turbo'd) which I have just put a set of white dials in and need to find out how to make the rev counter work (if poss)

Any Ideas anyone

Cheers

ok on the diesel you will have to run a wire from the spare terminal on the alternator up the dash, then connect it to pin8 on the blue connector for the speedo clocks

They are already in mrmetallica and unfortunately it don't work.

Cheers white van man will give it a go when it stops raining.

Right - ran the wire from alternator to pin8 now when I start the van the rev needle shoots round to 6000 rpm, I'm sure i've seen this on here somewhere but I'm fooked if I can find it.

Cheers

ah yes same problem i had...

what you need is the diesel tacho (has letter D on it below centre of needle) i bought a diesel clock set and swapped the deisel tacho out into the white dial dash (you need to swap the black dial for the white dial and the red needle over to match)

job done, any more help you need ask away
