I have a '98 diesel escort van (non turbo'd) which I have just put a set of white dials in and need to find out how to make the rev counter work (if poss) Any Ideas anyone Cheers . Right - ran the wire from alternator to pin8 now when I start the van the rev needle shoots round to 6000 rpm, I'm sure i've seen this on here somewhere but I'm fooked if I can find it. white_van_man Posted June 26, 2007 Share Posted June 26, 2007 ah yes same problem i had... what you need is the diesel tacho (has letter D on it below centre of needle) i bought a diesel clock set and swapped the deisel tacho out into the white dial dash (you need to swap the black dial for the white dial and the red needle over to match) job done, any more help you need ask away Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
