I got refunded 450 for insurance after my crash they made a mistake and kept my policy going. They were supposed to pay me 250. With everything that was going on I never noticed. Mow 15months on I got debt collector letter saying I owe them 200. Katie Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 yup, you'l have to pay it back, might be their mistake but you have no right to it all you can do is see if you can come to some arrangement and they might let you pay it back over a certain amount of time, explain due to your accident you never noticed, that you have received no correspondance from them about it and your now confronted with a debt collectors letter demanding payment in full, say your willing to pay it back (not your money after all) and see if they're prepared to take it back in instalments Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They continued my policy and when I realised what was going on I phoned up and they said I wasn't allowed to insure a SORN car. So the money would need to be back dated until DEC.
