Bigdawg
Hi guys just need some help on my vents, ive put them in using fibre glass and finished it with filler but it keeps cracking round the edges of the vents where its connected to the metal. I think its from when the bonnet expands when it gets hot from the engine. Anyone know of a good way to keep the filler from cracking so i can paint it? thanks. Stu
Start again. Use some P38 mixed in with some P40. Sand/Dry etc. Then finish with normal filler/P40..

Stu
I don't go by the colour of a tub, I go by the big letters "P38" on the front.
PeeWee
I don't go by the colour of a tub, I go by the big letters "P38" on the front.Ive never mixed the two tbh stu, sounds like a good idea though as p40 is a knightmare to sand alone, im guessing this is the reason to mix the two? Stu
It's about flexibility.. experimentation is key.. but holding vents in with stiff filler is a no-no.. personally either just plain P38 on the vents and then finish with filler, or try the mix, it's up to you.. both will work.
