Andy 3i Posted June 26, 2007 Share Posted June 26, 2007 undo 10mm bolts, remove cover and gasket. replace gasket and place cover ontop and tighten. depending on wether you have your air intake crossing your rocker cover then that would have to be removed first. Last time i changed mine got one from the scrappy, cleaned it and sprayed it with some very high temperature paint from hal-frauds. Looked quite good with a stainless spark plug cover but like any painting if ya gonna do it take ya time and do it properly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Stu Posted June 27, 2007 Share Posted June 27, 2007 I've never had to remove a throttle body to get the cam cover off, on either manifold style. And sure, you can torque up the bolts. 8 ft-lb should do it as they're M6. You really don't need to be so hardcore though, just nip them with a 1/4 ratchet and you'll be sorted.
