tezmanian devil
i'd imagine you'll have abit of scrapeage with 17's on a 60mm drop tbh.i got the front of my mk5 down 60mm and it rubs a tiny bit, but i have spacer's on mine aswel...
RyanML
mines down 60mm on 17"s, mk6 i know but same thing, depends on offset and tyres mate. had no scrubage untill i bought new tyres which were slightly bigger for some reason. stuey650
Am lowered 60mm on 17". No problems at all although when i tried my old set of 17" on which sit further out it was just a nightmare and scuffed all the time. Had to change back the the wheels that came with car. In short the offset is important and you need alloys that sit quite well into the arches.
Si
Got my Mk6 down to 60mm on ET15 Wheels ( pug offset ) with no scubbage, but the steering on full lock was a nightmare as it felt as if it was crabbing, the tracking was fine and i even changed my lower arms thinking it would solve the problem, But it didn't. shawdreamer
Im running low profile 15's on a 60-40 drop, they tuck in quite nice in the arches without scrubbing either front or back or full lock, plus I find 15's give me a little better traction
Sedgie07
what tyre profile would ya need then?
Bex
I'm 40mm on 17"s and I get scrubbage on full lock on the inner arch lining (bit near the gearbox). I dont do full lock anymore, just have a bit of an iffy turning circle. although I have known some go 60mm on 17"s and no scrubbing at all... it's a difficult one to answer... "suck it and see" as they say.

Bex
both are apparently right as per the wheel/tyre places that have checked them I just dont do full lock and they are fine lol.
