escortgti.com
Bleeding the brakes on a Ford Escort. I have bled as the haynes states : Passenger FrontDriver RearDriver FrontPassenger Rear Problem is, no fluid will go through the driver front caliper.I took the brake pipe off the caliper to find that no fluid was coming through there either ! To make sure I hadnt knackered the master cylinder etc , I checked that the passenger rear would still bleed even though the driver front wouldnt. It bled fine ! So is something blocking the Drivers front brakeline ? How can I sort this ?
ScORTED
replace the said brake line - or take it off both ends and blow it through with compressed air
escortgti.com
replace the said brake line - or take it off both ends and blow it through with compressed air Once Ive done that do I need to re-bleed the whole car ?
ScORTED
as long as you don't operate the brakes while the line is off you should be ok... if you operate them the mastercylinder may suck air into the system

escortgti.com
But the brakes were fine beforehand , and look fine as is ?
mexico_16v
But the brakes were fine beforehand , and look fine as is ?on a dual line master cyclinder, which you would have you have two split line's one going to the nearside rear and the offside front, the other to the nearside front and offside rear, check that the oppisite (spelt wrong i know) side off that duel line is bleeding fine, if not then the master cyclinder is fcuk'd, if you find it is bleeding fine, then replace that brake hose and it'l be fine.
