Craig855S
How would i go about fitting an uplighter on the wall, how do u get the wires to it. one of these is what im thinking about, do u need to knock all the walls in the room down to run a cable from the lightswitch to the uplighter(s) behind the wall???? its really confused me,surely u dont have to do that
PeeWee
From what i know, you gauge out the plaster for the line you need to run the cable, you can get a plastic flat type trunking that lies into the wall over the cables, then plaster over & decorate.Unless you have hollow walls, then theres other tricks? Craig855S
okay, thats that out of the window. i'd like to pimp my living room a bit but its not my house and i'd have to undo the work when it comes time to move so fcuk that, different roof lights maybe tho, with dimmer switches
PeeWee
Only other option i can think of is surface mounted trunking but it doesnt look nice tbh?
Craig855S
nah, wont do it, wanna tidy the house up a bit to make it more homely and less RAF magnolia everything and cheap lighting/switches/bathroom. so gonna go for triple spotlights in the roof of a few rooms with dimmers and brass switches/plugs everywhere, and fancy taps, and decorate the babies bedroom properly, all other rooms are staying magnolia as when u move out the house must be magnolia,i've made a feature wall in the living room but thats the only decoratin ive done so far

duffa
these look cool if connected to a dimmer switch .. they have 8 white led's that will come on by themselves if you turn the dimmer right down .. click
