but it's the rear beam not the springs that make it -15 aint it? i no my scort dropped 15mm when i fitted the beam.

Ryan- if u droppe the rear with -40 springs it wud only mean it dropped 25mm more. as u would of removed the standard (-15) springs to fit -40. so beam wud still be fine with atotal of -55. (presuming u changed shocks not just springs).

right????????

Correct.

The Gti Si and RS suspensions are 15mm lower than CLs/Lxs/ghias and so on, and the RS rear beam is apparenly 10-15mm lower than the Ghias LXs CLs and SIs and GTis.

figures from Gmax and koni etc state -40mma and so on and u shud refer to the fitment list to see what models they mean -40mm from

IE a mk6 escort -40 kit will more than likely mean 40mm lower than base suspension

a mk6 escort GTI/RS -40 kit will obviously mean 40 lower than they are standard which makes ur car 55mm lower than a ghia, but i doubt they make a seperate kit to lower RSs more
