white_van_man Posted June 29, 2007 Share Posted June 29, 2007 after my recent non start problem on my rs ( see here... http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...t=0&start=0 and here... http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...t=0&start=0 ) finally fixed it today :) it was dodgy fusebox at fault, it must have gone inside where the wire from fuel pump comes in and connects to relay terminals/circuit so what i've done is soldered a new wire inline on fuel pump connector and run it along the sill under carpet and up to fusebox the connected it direct to terminal 87 on the relays socket then pushed in the relay, works a treat Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

tezmanian devil Posted July 1, 2007 Share Posted July 1, 2007 ahh, thought it would be. fuse boxe's are sh1te, i replaced one in my old rs ( had same probs as your's) and iv replaced the one in my 3i twice in the year iv had it you cant surly be leaving it like that tho... all fuse boxe's are the same arn't they, it's jus got extra relays for rs xr models for extra bit's, if thats the case, i have a spare one from the 3i i broke a month ago you can have for cheap...
