Craig855S
We'll make no bones about this, my name is jeff jeffety jefff and i've downloaded the entire futurama collection (after i murdered 3 people) and i want to put em on DVD to save HD space and watch them on the big tele. So how do i go about doing it For instance Season 1 has 9 episodes, if i split that between 2 DVD-R discs 5 on one 4 on the other. how do i write them? what format shud i make them in? how do i make an episode picking page thing?? I downloaded them in a torrent, theyre wierdly a mixture of mostly AVIs but 14MPEGS (a few of season 4 and 5 are in MPEG format????) Just bought 50 of "the best" make DVD-Rs u can buy and dont wanna waste any, need em to work on a cheap pacific DVD player that is DVD-R compatable, it plays one DVD-R film we have, but wont play my rocky anthology, im not sure if thats cos its not a DVD-R or weather its menu system confuses my DVD player Please help
PeeWee
That "cheap" pacific dvd player is one of the best dvd players for watching pirate stuff on tbh.Especially if its one of the later models?Have you tried just writing them as a data disc to see if they play as i did this recently with a monty python set for my dad.there was a thread recently about dvd movie converting.Pmsl @ not wanting to waste discs, cheapskate. Here you goclicky Edited July 1, 2007 by PeeWee

JC
I use the latest version of nero premium, which has "nero vision" does the job and very simple and straight forward now!
DJC
Following the last thread I downloded convertXtodvd and it works fine, automatic menus & about 2 full length movies on 1 disc, and it tells you how much disc space it will take up before you convert it. Only downside is that it takes over an hour to convert!!!! haven't bothered looking for another one yet due to lazyness. Totally with you on hating wasting discs, even though I have found woolworths value discs are the best I have tried @ £6 for 25, I hate wasting them when a disc doesn't burn. Craig855S
ok,got the DVDs, got convertXtoDVD (fantastic bit of kit) so far done 5 DVDs that all work. Now i have a problem however. I want to start putting films and long TV shows (like lost) onto DVD but with each DVD only being 2 hours big it'll be a farce to watch a series of lost and disc changing will be involved to see 1 film with todays film lengths, so my new question is Can u get 180 minute or even 240 minute long DVD-Rs? PeeWee
Have you tried dvd shrink? no,what is it? Surprisingly it shrinks dvd`s lol.How about dual layer dvd`s?
Craig855S
how can u shrink a DVD from 180 mins (3 hours long) to 2 hours long to fit on the disc? the problem wont be with size, its with length. Dual layered, they the ones that u turn upside down? i dont want to touch the player when ive started a film,i just want it to play non stop, so can u get DVDs that hold more than 120 mins on one side, cos i cant find any

Craig855S
come again? buy a Mac? why when i have convertxtoDVD. Can a mac make a 3 hour film fit and play on a 2 hour long blank DVD??? will spending hundreds on a mac solve my problem?? i seriously doubt it. it's the disc size that'd the problem. Software wise im hooked up,and it cost fook all
