Sean L
Haven't been on for a long time but thought id put some pictures up of what i'm driving now, had it for around 4 months now but i'm happy with it. Its a Rover 200vi 1.8 vvc engine. Approx. 148bhp 0-60 7.2 secs 186nm torque top speed 132mph.Shes completely standard apart from Powerflow exhaust and induction kit. quite good fun for a fwd 1.8 though. Oh well dont really no what to say about it but IMO not bad for £1k, came with fsh full mot 6 months tax new tyres all round and 69k miles. Shes got full leather, rcl leccy windows, mirrors and sunroof pas abs and discs all round. Insurance is cheap too i pay £887 tpft at 19 with 2 years no claims, probably keep it for another year before I go jap with a celica gt4. so what does everybody think? cossy
i had a r400 1.6si was pretty rapid the escort iv got now was a friends i bought it off her as i loved the car and the colour but on one off our trips to blackpool we had a bit of a quick splurt and the rover kept up with the escort even sneaked past it on the downhill part but the escort was throttle also rovers are very quick cars. You got any plans for it?
Craig855S
seems perfectly acceptable, certainly no looker tho. Seats look nice, wood on dash looks tacky as hell tho. And certainly seems quick enough by those stats. 7.2 - 60. How fast is the ST170 to 60?

Sean L
Its pretty nippy for an 1800, dont get me wrong i dont find it all that attractive either but its a comfortable drive. I think the newer rover 25s are pretty much the same car just have different headlights and bumpstrips. As far as modifying goes iv been toying with the idea of a 220 turbo lump but think its going to be more hassle then its worth, Il probably just go for some mg zr wheels, colour code it, tint the windows and a few other odd bits. Oh and deffo colour code the walnut dash trim I agree walnut is tacky. cheers

MarkyMark
I had one of them in british racing green, was good for the first few months then it became a very boring car to drive. Yours looks very good for the money
