Craig855S Posted July 2, 2007 Share Posted July 2, 2007 Just "acquired" this FIA GTR2 game,and its the worst game ive ever ever played. Graphics are a teeny bit better than toca race driver 3, but that doesnt matter because the steering is what lets it down,its unusable. same as GTR1 which i acquired back when that was new cos it had rave reviews. The steering is wierd cos its not that its sensitive,its that its either nothing,or too much,and this is using a logitech wingman cordless force feedback pad that works fantastically with any other game In the options the green bar seemed to follow the stick perfectly,sensing little and large movements,i set the deadzone and the sensitivity to good levels,then went out onto the tutorials,first an acceleration tutorial, i suceeded in doing the 1/4 mile or whatever it is in the alloted time, but i was darting from side to side,with no steering applied it drifted left,correction meant shooting right,and so on.so after 2 acceleration tutorials i tried a full circuit of magny cours,and it was just terrible,it wouldnt go round 3 corners cos it was impossible to keep on the track. Either these games ONLY work with wheels,or they dont work at all,im not keeping it to find out,deleting it now. MIKE W Posted July 2, 2007 Share Posted July 2, 2007 I have not played GTR2, but i have got GTR and GT Legends which is by the same people.... I played them on both the steering wheel & pedals and the keyboard and i thought they were both ace games. The gameplay was great imo , it was easy for the backend to step out but after playing it abit i got used to the handling and was pretty good at it...Awesome games imo They are rated as one of the most realistic driving sims.... Craig855S Posted July 2, 2007 Author Share Posted July 2, 2007 just toned some settings down and GTR2 played a BIT better, but i still got rid. Then sset to work on TRD3 and gave up after i kept losing,its impossible to keep up with the cars once u get a certain way thru the game the difficulty changes,i think it has adjusting AI where it gets harder as u play better. and ATM its just too hard,also ATM when i use the auto boxes on the cars it changes up way way way to early,its in 5th when it shud be in 2nd,so i think that games shagged aswell,GTR2 has been deleted,and now im off to FS2004 it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
