My friends GTi stolen last night

My friend had his GTi stolen last night and he's gutted. It was found in the middle of nowhere burnt out in the early hours. My mate has put his claim into the insurance and he has protected no claims bonus so he's lucky that way. He was just wondering though what do insurance pay out for GTi's. The insurance would not tell him this morning they said they will contact him in the next couple of days. He's worried he wont get a lot for it.

Cheers, Nick

His claim will be with his insurance "total loss" team, basically they will look into the theft, find out the buck value of his GTi, regardless of mileage cars condition etc... and they will pay him out, if he has protected NCB then they will not be affected, but its a possibility that his premium might still be affected unfrtunatley.... :(

As said, get a load of autotrader adverts for cars of similar age and condition and send them all to the insurance company, they will go for the middle price normally. If they give you a poor amount argue with them and they should send a revised offer. Someone at work had to do this recently they offered him £700 for the car so he sent off cars that were £1600, £1800 and £2000. They came back with an offer for £1750. (not on an escort gti or anything tho but I don't see how that would matter)

He don't know how it was stolan just woke up this morning and gone. He would not have heard anything because he has to park a little way from his house in a communal carpark.

He's hoping to get around £1500

if he gets more than £1300 then he could buy my spare red one

Seen yours advertised trig looks a minter
