Did I make the right Decision?

Just got rid of my Mk6 Escort GTi, as i was fed up with it bottoming out all of the time, and ripping the exhaust off, or the skirts, bought a Vectra GLS Hatch with a few mods, Chromed 17 in rims on lo pro's, 6 in Stainless Exhaust System, Limo Black tints all round, Lexus Front n rear Lights and neon dash and footwell lights, did i make a bad move in getting rid of the escort, u tell me, going to post the pics of my new motor in my profile l8r.

The escort is not the ebst car in the world, but for its age,class,and price. i think its a good car compared to the competition

My comment was the usual observation whenever someone even mentions another car.

 

Never said I favoured Vauxhalls, just because I have a couple. I've never had any problems with mine, and never regretted buying them. Also miss my Escort like mad, but would'nt say it was a bad decision to change cars.

I dont think of my comment as one blinkered towards escorts, I like them, but my experience of vectra's means I wont buy one (most vectra's anyway).

 

There are better cars out there to be had than early vectra's and escort mk5/6, I accept that.

Fcuking HATE vectra's lol, but then my experience is with a 98 model, feels so cheap inside and it's so uncomfortable to drive....

 

although I am also comparing it to my four which isn't a fair comparison as one is 30k car new and the other was around 12k lol.

 

not gonna say it's the wrong move (apart from the chavved up part) because you might prefer it over the escort

I predict that in 4 months time you will trade it in for a mk3 mondeo.

 

I too took your path. Traded my escort (seen in sig) in for a 1998 vectra saloon. The think is, the head gasket went, then it went again, it leaked oil and water. And most of all after 10 miles it wrecked my back to drive. I used to be in agony!! So i cut my losses and bought a 2001 mondeo hatch which ive had no major problems with what so ever! In fact, id push to say its the best car ive ever owned!

 

I am one of those "sold my escort, now i miss it" people
