majorj0nny
Ive just smoked a set of headlights and fitted them today - but My chrome bulbs in the now blackened indicator parts of the lights are now quite pathetic in terms of how bright they flash - Im hoping once it goes dark it wont look too bad - indicator flash wise - but how can this be legal ? I know they sell smoked headlights that a road legal - but how can they be ? im wondering if I should just use orange bulbs as when i had the chrome bulbs for my original headlight im sure I thought they flashed a bit dimmer? Andy 3i
shouldnt be illegal mate, and if you use the silver bulbs they seem brighter in mine...

majorj0nny
Im in no way a 'professional' by any means ... but i thought my first go at making my own 'smoked' headlights same out alright.. http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...st&p=837238 Ive seen some peoples where some of the indicator reflector is left silver (obviously these reflect more light) yet some people ive seen the whole indicator reflector is black.. but after Ive got these all back together again and fitted and seen what the indicators are like - Im wondering if 'some' of the indicator reflector is meant to remain silver ? Its almost dark so I will see what they look like then..
majorj0nny
just tried em in the dusk and they seem a lot brighter ... maybe its just me - or the fact that it was intense sunlight last time I checked em ?
