Craig855S
yep u need a ford-ISO wiring convertor. only a few quid form accesory or ICE shops. Keeps the wiring tidy and allows u to refit the ford player without chopping wires twice,u can chop wires if u want, but u'll need diagrams and its hassle

CheersMatt the back of the haynes manual has wiring diagrams for the ford speakers as in what colour is for left positive, right negative etc. also lists the power and earth wire colours. if you dont have access to this book then ill look them all up for you, might not be till after the tennis though. matt20687
hey Just had a go! Had a few problems, dont have a colour for the memory, It keeps losing all the memory that i putting in! Had a bit of trouble with the power for the cd player, i couldnt get the ignition to work at all, the green/yellow had 12 V coming down it (well 11.76V) but when i put it on the ignition wire that goes off to my cd player it did nothing. I got the CD player to power up by putting the Ignition on with the constant 12V that goes away to the head unit. Also the only way i could get the head unit to luminate was to put the illumination wire on the ignition wire aswell as nothing else would power it up at all! I also noticed that when the ignition was turned on the cdplayer poped out the cd that was in there , was a bit weird! I got my multimeter and got some voltages : Green / Yellow - Ignition = 11.76 VBlack / Orange - Illumination = 1.76 V If anyone can help it would be bloody great coz i am stumped!!!!!!!! ThanksMatt

ThanksMatt Permanent live should be the one which gives a 12v reading with ignition turned off. This is your memory and should be the orange wire with black stripe.Does the yellow wire with a green stripe only read 12v with ignition on? make sure you turn the key to second click and not just first.Have any of your exterior lights stopped working cos i think that the illumination wire is hooked up to the RH sidelights fuse. --------I got the CD player to power up by putting the Ignition on with the constant 12V that goes away to the head unit. Also the only way i could get the head unit to luminate was to put the illumination wire on the ignition wire aswell as nothing else would power it up at all!---------- sorry couldnt understand this. you mean you took the ignition wire from the car and connected it to your memory wire on cd player and then it turned on? you mean you got it to illuminate by connecting the ignition wire from car and illumination wire from cd player? Then get a adapter thing for a ford from halfords! I think it gnna be the easiest way cheers
