chris_g99
Or wedge it in with toolbox etc
DanFinesse
halfords do some really strong velcro - you'll need a flat smooth surface though, youll have to cut some of the carpet off your sub!
leegti
Or wedge it in with toolbox etc lol, i done that, untill the toolbox became 'un-wedged' and went straight through the cone of my brand new sub!!
chris_g99
lol, i done that, untill the toolbox became 'un-wedged' and went straight through the cone of my brand new sub!! You have to put something soft in front of the cone. The toolbox is for the side
shawdreamer
sorry to say that once again this could all be solved with an immigrant, I know I know Ive used the same sorta solution in other threads.... how to wash your car etc etc, but these really are usefull things AND multi purpose at that......what ya need is a relatively small immigrant, lob him in the boot and have him hold the sub for you! the upside is that when you need space in the boot and the sub has to be removed you just shout over your shoulder while driving and itll be ready to whip out when you pull over, plus you can have him take into the house for you so you can avoid any possible back related injuries! he can also double as ;- 1. bootlid prop for when one breaks2. a spare rear windscreen wiper motor when the original breaks(must supply a set of grips so he can twist the spindle back and forth tho)3. save you paying for expensive bulbs, give him a torch and leave the rear lights backs off "left turn Ishmel!"4. an auto boot release(handfree init)5. he can make wailing noises if woke up by strange noises or movement of the car at night(dunno what catagory that sorta alarm falls into tho, please consult your insurance broker)6. If he's savy you can allways teach him to use decks, then you can bin your stereo and simply shout what you want to hear the possibilities are endless!!! a plus on his side is unless you get pulled over by a vosa check........... he's safe to stay in the uk ilegally...everyone benefits! Danzetec
Fcuking lol to the above!! Or you could just use velcro- you don't need to feed it or feel bad as you staple it to the underside of the box
shawdreamer
shite I forgot about needin to feed it...........go with velcro
BIG STU
Make a false floor out of MDF, cut out the shape of the bottom of the sub, the sub will then sit snug and not move, this will also give you a place to screw your amp to
meekstaaa
shawdreamer that is a quality idea! what i did was make a stealth box that fitted to the side of the boot and then made some brackets and bolted it to the suspension turret and one of the bolts holding on the rear bumper
dark-ryder
lol my sub is held in place with a bungy cord, and the amp is screwed to the back of the seats works fine! although toolboxes are also very useful, packing all your crap around it is a sureway to keep it in place, just a bugger when u need to get the spare out by the side of the road!
