Bigdawg
well its not meant to be too hard but if its anything like mine then it could take you a while to undo the clamp bolt that holds the filter in place.
DIDZ
takes about 5 mins m8. just make sure u put it on the right way round. Take note of which end the curve is on . also it has an arrow on.Undo the 1 nut with an extension bar on a ratchet. U may need 2 extensions if short. then squeeze the clips on each end of pipes and it comes of. clip new 1 in to pipes and do up nut again. really is that easy. Don't need to take wheel of either. easiest way is to jack up and slide under from rear. loads of room (make sure the car is supported well before u go under). Grey Ghost
Stupid question time - Â Do you have to clamp the pipes before & after the filter befors you take it off so petrol doesn't leek out or is there no fuel in the lines without the engine ticking over? DIDZ
no there is no need to clamp pipes, u will get a small amount of fuel spill out but not much. most of what does poor out will come from inside the filter. The fuel is sucked out of tank by pump. so will not flow on it's own m8. Only a small amount will be in pipes that can flow out.
Stu
No, you don't clamp.. just have a cloth handy.. leave it for 10 minutes after running before taking pipes off.

Craig855S
WD40 the clamp bolt the night before to eliminate any chance of spending 40 minutes shouting at a ratchet that wont move
revoltos
Also a good tip is to remove the fuel pump fuse then start the car up and let it run till it dies, turn it over once or twice and then start the job, if you dont there will be pressure in the fuel system and you dont want fuel spraying into your face or skin!! When finish put fuse back in, turn key to position 2 three times so the pump primes the system agian and then start her up. Job Done. Remember to chock the front wheel....lol
