oz80
Last night, i stupidly decided to take the easy option & use my local BP carwash.Everything was going peachy until the side washer ripped off my wing mirror. Just when i thought the carnage had ceased it claimed my aerial as well. The £3.00 car wash has ended up costing me quite a bit more than the initial £3.00 squid.Alas, use these machines at your own peril, i now know that those conditions of use are there for a reason!!!Oz. Lee_2f2f
When I use to take claims in N.U when it was a car wash incident, most of them were BP garages... Your mirrors (if possible) you should have folded in (i would have) and as for the aerial.. thats just common sence to take off... Its better to wash the car yourself anyway as you know its been done properly then and not scratched by those stupid car wash brushes...

oz80
I agree, i have never used these machines in the past. I always wash the car by hand. I knew i'd be tempting fate by going into one. I was on the way to pick up the missus, had the baby in the car. I thought... I will kill some time & go into the carwash then collect her from the gym. Now, i've gotta get a new aerial & fix the wing mirror. Never Again!!! Its the one by cofton medical centre. near longbridge & around the corner from the man on the moon!
