right my problem is...

i have a mk5 exhaust on a mk5 and i want it to exit thro the cut out on a mk6 bumper..

the options ive come up with are...

a) fibreglass the exit hole on bumper..and cut a new hole where the exhaust exits now...the only problem i can see is that it would cut thro the spat..bearing in mind they are replicas..i dont honestly think they could stand up to it..(i know ..my own fault shoulda bought originals..)the good side being that no expensive pipework..ie cutting and welding..

b) get a garage/mechanic to cut a straight section to fit to the exhaust pipe to route it thro the cut out....the downside being expensive?? and the backbox catches the spare wheel well but only slightly.. the upside being it will be done properley and any problems arise from it then someone can be held responsible..and will have to sort it out...

c) salvage an exhaust from a mk6 scrapper..and graft the back box onto the piping...i would only be using the bits nessecary (sp) ie leaving my cat on..and using the pipework around it.. the only problem being the backbox may still catch on spare wheel well..

to me..either a or c seem the better options...what do you guys think?? which would u choose? and can you for see any problems i havent mentioned??

the backbox shouldnt bang with the right pipework as its no bigger than a standard box ............

and you have a 5b exhaust on a 5b , so its the same rear end as a mk6 , so doesnt matter ;)

just get the custom pipework and bracket made , 40 quid will have it fitted in the hole
