Ladies and Gents.

The first shoot of the RS. I'll just do a quick review of her. Completely standard. 22,000 miles, one owner, tracker, two alarms.

Driving wise, well, she's harsh, very very firm ride, and the diff takes a lot of getting used to. The only way to describe it is that when driving around a long corner, if you lift off, she steers out, if you accelerate, she just sticks and pulls in.

It's a very weird, I've driven a lot of front wheel drive cars, but this whole idea of really accelerating in corners making you grip more is odd. I am yet to unstick her, and believe me I've tried. The grip really is unbelievable. There's been times I'm sure physics should win and I meet concrete crash barrier, but no.

Clarkson was right, she doesnt like bumpy roads, and can be a real handful, it's all because of this diff. Torquesteer is noticeable, but you get used to it. Makes you concentrate. Oh, and very heavy steering, they've turned the power steering right down.

She's quick. Evo's test of 5.9 secs 0-60 is acheivable, and bluefin wil bring that down to about 5.5secs. The turbo power delivery, for those who arent used to it, is great and addictive.

Gearbox is excellent really notchy, no spongey gear changes, short shifts, really beautiful. The AP Clutch can be a bit jerky in slow moving traffic but is good otherwise.

I personally hate the focus interior, but it's growing on me, and the seats are quality. Push button start only is a nice feature.

Criticisms, well, almost too firm a ride on the poor british roads, I have got a slight steering knock at the moment, soon to be sorted, hopefully. Thirsty. Boy racers now seem to think I'm well up for it. Seating position a little too high for me (6'1"). That's it so far really.

But, boy does it get attention. I've had cars full of young men reverse at lights to get parallel and you can hear them whisper, 'RS Focus' etc etc.

Anyway, I could waffle on for ages. Mods wise, well, I'll be taking her to 250Bhp, and that'll be it. She really really doesnt need any more than that.

Apologies for my poor photos.

God it's good to be back. Even when driving to work you notice a 'performance ford' community.

Tell you what though, the RS community I've met so far, top lads.

Sold the Alfa for £1800 to a chap from one of the Alfa owners clubs. He's repairing it and putting her back on the road.

Rob, turning circle is bad, but thankfully not as bad as the Alfa was. Speaking of steering, theres a concern the knocking is the steering rack. Not good.

Mike, I am now well up for showing with the club, tempted by Blackpool but it's just too far.
