JoN_WeStOn
Its my g/fs first car so she loves it, i use it to get to work alot and its been really dependable, a bit temperamental at times but we don't wnat to get rid of it Needs two new tyres they're worn on the inside, i never noticed the tracking being so badly out (17's aren't cheap) - I'm hoping to swap the alloys for some standard 14" steelies with tyres.Needs some welding doing on one of the sillsNeeds some welding on the chassis rail at the back as theres a 10pence piece sized hole in itthe brakes are binding on the passengers size at the front, found out its a sticky caliper which is only 7months old and probably out of its guarantee and a few smaller things i can't remember Only up side is my dads worked as a mechanic at the ford garage for over 40 years and gets really good discounts, so i'm hoping to keep it under £200 then we might be able to salvage the Old Slag I've got my bible out and i'm praying my f***in hardest!!!! lol I just wanted to let off steam Edited August 13, 2007 by JoN_WeStOn

meekstaaa
you sure its not the brake pipes they usually break down quite easy and cause them to stick.
madxrcabby
brakes and tyres are lack of checking your car over (cos you would have noticed em) and id have thought you would have noticed while driving ............ welding is about 40 quid for the chassis rail , and sill should be about the same
JoN_WeStOn
you sure its not the brake pipes they usually break down quite easy and cause them to stick. Naa the caliper stuck solid about 3days before the MOT so i thought i'd leave it for my dads garage to pick up on so they realised that their dodgy part caused the problem lol and hopefully they'd feel guilty enough to fix it for free brakes and tyres are lack of checking your car over (cos you would have noticed em) and id have thought you would have noticed while driving ............ welding is about 40 quid for the chassis rail , and sill should be about the same Brakes aren't a lack of checking the car over, the caliper stuck recently and didn't release - its 6months oldThe tyres are a lack of checking but unless i got my head underneath it to look at them, they were showing none of the usual signs of tracking problems so i had no need to look under there, they're only on about 4-5mm each anyway so 40 quid? i don't think so, you've not seen underneath For starters they need to move the fuel pipes and possibly the fuel tank out of the way which takes time or they will blow the **** out of themselves easy to slate someone on the internet isn't it? madxrcabby
never slated you well you said the holes the size of a 10p , so its not exactly a big job , same with a "little" bit on the sills , fuel tank doesnt need taking out atall , had mine welded with it in fine
