berniel
Hello, I have a 1995, 5 door 1.8si Escort. The problem with the rear suspension is that it is very hard over small bumps and makes a definate "bonk" sound. It is not just one side, both seem the same. Generally on normal roads it is a comfortable ride and the car is sitting at the correct height. I changed the rear struts for another set (secondhand) but the problem is exactly the same. If you push the car down hard from the rear quarters it returns to level on the second bounce so it seems the shocks are behaving correctly. The car has just passed the MOT without any problems although for the previous 3 years MOT's it has needed rear wheel bearings. (dont know if that is siginificiant) Where could i look for next as the source of the problems. Many thanks Berniel
