WetDriver
Yes, very amusing I'm sure but anyone got pointers on how to windup manually my electrical windows ? I got an electrical issue with my Ford Escort (Ghia model 1989 with manual sun roof) and on a hot day I foolishly wound down my windows but due to some short circuit it wont wind up and I'm getting WET!! Anyone with help or process would greatly be appreciated!!

fox3
Even with the card of I think you will struggle. I'd whip the card of, and cut the motor wires, then bridge them into a 12v supply, and get it up!
Hezz
swap the windows round on the button - assuming the passenger window is working
cargy
I've never looked, but I would assume there's not too much difference between the power window aqnd manual window mecahnisms. If so, the thought occurs that all that's needed is to get the motor out of the way, so you can access the shaft that the motor turns - maybe use one of the rear door handles - and crank it up until you can get it fixed. It's all speculation though. Like I say, I've never looked!
