Lee R
Seeing as i've had a few newbies PM me for photo's of the estate, thought i'd knock up a thread for those who weren't around when it was the day I got it... it got lowered, then got it's first set of new wheels, soft RS7's... got bored of them, so ran on RS2k's for a bit to tide me over...tinted headlights appeared here too.. soon after that, the Voodoo's came.. got bored again, so the diamond cut RS7's came, along with the single wiper.. can someone please post so I can carry on, cheers. Lee R
then it saw some Speedlines for a brief while, drove really nice on these... day at the pod, with 15's on the front got a 17.1, which for a standard GTi, is quite good. got bored with the RS7's, so tided over with a set of Mondy 16's... then came the Esc Cos wheels.....along with a few bits, like the 1st private plate. Should have stopped modding at this point, cos it was all ££££££££££££££££££££ from here couple of interior shots at this point..... then came the bright idea of the engine, as i'd just written the Cossie off, and this felt slooooooooooooooow!!!!, also changed the plate again.... which led to this, best result was 203bhp with paul, iirc.... a day at Bruntingthorpe in this spec was awesome!!!! and then a few days before it was sold, looked much liked this..... The Features: Got a PF Readers Cars feature in the early days. the the FF feature which took place when Paul had it (hence a few changes), but was king enough to involve me. THE END! Mike C
I loved this car so much! Should have listened to your uncle Mikey and ZT'd it though Would have been cheaper in the end as well as more powerful Still, it was different and sounded immense

I picked an estate to a) be a bit different, and b) for practicality didnt lighten it. It's in car heaven now as far as I know Sometimes, and only sometimes I wish i'd kept it, but not often. If I ever get back into an Escort, it'll be a runaround which would never be modded. Saab didnt stay long because of a few money hicups, now that car I regret selling evey day. Si, you never 'RELIVE' a dream , besides, it was far from a dream I'm older, wiser and now realise what a silly boy I was to spunk over 10k into what was, essentially, an old Escort estate. 50% regret, 50% good memories Look into EVO's history, I was one of the biggest Escort lovers, with the most narrowest Ford blinkers on. The Saab made me realise there really is more to life than Ford's, let alone Escorts. Rotty, standard RS what?
mexico_16v
Does anyone have any video of this car? I loved this car, after Lee sold it. Me and a mate from work were gonna go halves on it, wish we had now. Lee how many set's of wheel's has that car had? I think it must be a thing with estate's, i have had mine nearly 2 year's and i am on my 5th set of wheel's Edited August 15, 2007 by mexico_16v
