Can't believe I'm saying this but.......fkin love driving my dads :D  He picked it up about a month ago, top of the range V90 tank 3 litre engine, automatic, heated seats, air con etc etc apparently only 7000 made and he got it cheap, book price of around 4/4.5k and he got it for 2.5k from a mate. Only got 65k on the clock as well on an R plate I think, it's the old shape hurst style

Got my first chance to drive it last night as I had to nip out at 1.15am and my car is a little loud to be firing up at that time so I swiped the volvo and it was such a nice drive lol.

What do other people think of them? Yes I know there's the "fkin volvo drivers" stigma, which is true most of the time  but apart from that what's your experiences with them?

I had a 2.0 850 for a short time, not engough grunt really, felt rock solid, really nice drive for a 15 year old car. I nearly went out and bought a T5 after it went. Prices were just a bit too high for me though

i like a lot of volvos. Especially the big power ones, they look comfy, safe, and some even look really attractive, like the latest S40 and the C30.I'd happily buy a several year old V70

Barring the C30's arse end :nutter:

The new V70 looks very nice indeed... quite like the idea of the D5 with a re-map myself...

I just love it, it was so lazy....put it in sport mode and the 3litre really kicks in and put it in economy mode and it changes at 2.5k rpm and accelerates at a nice speed. Obviously feels a little poor on the handling side but then I'm used to the celica which is just an awesome handling machine.

Seats are the best thing though....soooo comfy :D

I'm actually considering buying one when I sell the celica

I hate to say that I actually like some Volvos, would like a yellow T5R.

I wasn't that impressed with the Focus ST when test drove one, I mean yes its quite nice, and not slow per se, but you don't seem to get that 'kick' but I would say its very everyday driveable (more so than say a scooby). Although the Volvo engine is slightly detuned in the ST?

Now the Megane Sport, that you do get a turbo 'kick' in
