i have a problem with my alternator basicaly it needs changed but i broke down 50 mile away so car staying the night in glasgow, i phoned up for an alternator but there is seemingly 2 different types a 70 amp and a 90 amp can anyone help me out which one to get without actually looking at the one in the car

i presume its the alternator at fault no light on the dash came on but its just drained a new battery after about 75 miles, anyhelp appreciated guys

normally its diesels and high spec models which have the 90 amp ,If your battery has been checked and has been found to be ok and the alternator belt is good I would would go with the alternator next

where in glasgow? if its not far i can maybe have a look? (between the xmas shopping with the mrs )
