My steering lock has decided not to work, looked through my haynes manual, theres nothing on troubleshooting it. Anyone know what could have gone wrong?

has it ever worked since you owned the car? if not someones probably broke it

ye it has worked , just stopped the other day? is it a costly fix?

a barrel is quite cheap ,but you really need to have the know how as it may need drilling out if its jammed ,if its just packed up and it turns etc .most times you insert the key and press the release button inside the cowling and the barrel will come out attached to the key itself
