My Gti is still holding back at about 2500 revs, done leads plugs and fuel filter, Someone told me the breather gets glogged up with muck, and needs cleaning . can anyone confirm this and is it easy to do. :thumb:
Fidley but straight forward unlikely to be your cause though ,might be your MAF sensor especially if you have an induction kit fitted

I personally would book it in to a tuning centre as they run diagnostics and will identify your problem straight away, this way there is no guesswork at all ,good luck

Cheers mate i will do that i think saves all the mucking about :thumb:

try unpluggin the MAF and going for a run,if its the same the MAF is ok,if its better the MAF is dead get a new one (scrappy?)

If the MAF turns out to be ok then its prob time to get it diagnosed on a computer

Mass Air flow sensor IIRC? (Im an apprentice, so go easy if im wrong :pancake:) Its in the air flow pipe, from the air filter into the inlet, there should be a connector thingy there, just unplug it.
