December 4, 200717 yr Author never thought about them stoppers. cant seem to move the lid to the right, can it be moved side to side? or am i beeing a puff and not pulling it hard?.
December 4, 200717 yr If its side to side, try the boot lock catch, its the brass-coloured thing attached to the car rather than the bootlid, mine was what was throwing mine off, took me fookin ages to figure out what it was cos noone ever seems to mention it
December 4, 200717 yr does the gap your referrin to taper slowly narrower as it travels up toward the top of the boot lid cos that would indicate that one of your hinges is miniscully higher or lower than the other, you have to bare in mind that a small difference at the top of your boot will be intensified the further down the boot you travel, the hinges themselve only have mere millimetres of play in them when loosened off, but that millimetre will rapidly become a centimetre as the measurement travels down the car.
December 4, 200717 yr Author http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x199/nick_ov_uk/S1030402.jpg as you can see in the pic (all be it crap) the gap on the right side is massive. on the left side is tiny i think i just needs moving over, the gap is the same up and down but not left to right.
December 4, 200717 yr tbh fella...it looks like your boots sitting to far forward aswell as slightly out of alignment, in other words it appears that your bootlid is not sitting flush with the rear of the car and if you note the very top ot the lid it also has a notable drop from the roof level to the bootlid top(like the whole lids slid down slightly)........Id say before you try and fine tune the fitment you need to loosen off the hinges and shove the whole bootlid upwards until its flush at the top then re-examine the gaps, you might find they wont appear half as tragic.
December 4, 200717 yr Author thanks people job for the weekend so i can get a helper sick of using that old rake to prop up the boot.
