December 5, 200717 yr undo the screw in the pocket at the back , pull off the handbrake surround , do the same with the gear surround ...... then , once youve taken off the gear surround , you'll see 4x10mm nuts on a goldish coloured plate around the gear stick , undo them , remove that too ........ and just jingle the console about to get it over the handbrake ah sod it , someone allways beats me to it Edited December 5, 200717 yr by madxrcabby

Thats how its described in the haynes
