Posted December 5, 200717 yr Right, my car is going off to be crushed later this week. It needs to be standard but i don't have the original parts any more, only my modded ones which are going onto a new car. I need this stuff ASAP! i can pay today if need be. 1) Set of Mk6 Black Dial's, Working pref but cheaper the better. Petrol W/ Rev counter.2) Mk6 Stock Exhaust back box, from the mid-section back (where it clamps on to the middle section) can be as shitty as hell, just need one. 3) Mk6 LX Interior Light (not as important as the others) Not to fussed about this. Help me out guys, you must have this crap around. I had silly prices from the local scrapper! Thanks
December 5, 200717 yr its being crushed?.........why do you need to make it standard again?....ITS BEING CRUSHED!.....Tax evasion thingie is it?
December 5, 200717 yr i got some black D clocks if u want em just to bang in so the dash aint empty.May have some non tacho black ones too,ive also got an interior light. Why do u need these things if its being crushed? Give us an offer on the above 2 items posted
December 5, 200717 yr Author its being crushed?.........why do you need to make it standard again?....ITS BEING CRUSHED!.....Tax evasion thingie is it? Well it writen off (twice) they are coming to collect it soon (unless i pay them 90% of what it is worth to keep it. Which is what i want to do but really need the money to go towards a new car, yet the engine and gear box is mint and its just going to be crushed ) and it needs to be stock otherwise the insurance company can try and not pay out due to it not being road worthy (due to missing dials + exhaust) or because its modded and not declared. So far i'v been offered by scrapper: petrol mk6 black dials = £15back box if i remove it = £10+ free interior light. Anyone do anything better? i dont fancy spending £25 on a car thats going to get crushed.

December 7, 200717 yr Author thanks people iv sored it now, Went out and bought a new escort: Ford Escort 1.8 16v Si, 2000 reg, 56000 miles, one lady owner from new (Unbelievable condition) panther Black. So im just going to pinch the exhaust+light from that one, and just let me white dials go
December 7, 200717 yr Ford Escort 1.8 16v Si, 2000 reg, 56000 miles, one lady owner from new (Unbelievable condition) panther Black. Are you sure you brought a 2000 Escort Si 1.8 16v? Because the only models made/sold during 2000 were the Flight(shite) and the Finesse, Engines were either 1.6 or Diesel.

December 7, 200717 yr If in good condition, why not buy it back with the money the insurance give you, spend the extra 10% on fixing it? Or if not, sell it?
December 7, 200717 yr Author Pretty sure yeah..hmm i think its a T reg, 2000 right? I will make sure i check all the number are correct, hope its not a lemon. Picking it up tonight. December 7, 200717 yr O rite i see!!! I wouldn't worry about the dials and the light. They can't penalise you for them and if asked, just say your dials broke and these are ford replacements! As for the backbox, surely you can remove it and let them crush it without it on and just say it was damage in or after the accident!
December 7, 200717 yr Author Im going to leave the dials because i have white ones in the new car with the correct and alot lower mileage. The exhaust im ripping off tonight, then fitting it onto the new escort and sticking the stock one back onto my crashed car. Same with the light as i have a Ghia maplight style one. Obv you have dealt with insurance lately, they are tight as fcuk. If everything isnt perfect then they will wiggle there way out of it.
December 7, 200717 yr LOL yea the last three days i'v been on the phone to them. So are they sending an assessor out to you? If not then i wouldn't worry about it. If they are, i'd just bodge the standard exhaust back on and the chances of them knowing what models had what colour dials on it are very slim. Good luck with it though. at least u got a new scort up and running
