Posted December 6, 200717 yr Im selling my Superchip, as I'm in no need of it and wouldn't mind the cash instead. It was on my 1.8 'BLOB' ECU. But I've been told it can be 'calibrated' to other ECU types. Maybe even work on other 1.8 ECU's? http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/7440.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/7441.jpg Excuse the terrible pictures, and the sticky marks from where some tape used to be (will be cleaned off). Looking for around £60 posted, but I'm always open to offers. Many thanks, Ryan
December 6, 200717 yr Author i'm gonna check my ecu tomorow but im interested fo sure : ) Even if it isnt the right type code, Scoop had assured me that 'Davespages' had used a different type code SuperChip and it worked perfectly fine? Might have to confirm that though.
December 8, 200717 yr IMHO it DOES increase power top end. And increases fuel consuption when driven calmly (this was proved by my car NEVER EVER doing 440 miles to a tank before the chip was fitted and doing it regularly when it was fitted [test route was a 440 mile run down the M6 from scotland to liverpool and halfway back]) And the power top end was noticably different. This Chip was fitted to a BLOB (1.8 115PS mondeo Non pats engine) ECU with my 1.8 engine (which was placed into a mk6 which as standard had a 1.6 engine) I am of the understanding, via DAVESPAGES that the CODES on the ECU mean cock all where chips are concerned, this chip SHOULD work on all other 1.8 ECUs from 115PS escorts/mondeos as DAVESPAGES has used a JEST ECU's powerchip on a JUMP ECU
