Well the fuel cap keeps bubbling and its been treated loads of times! and the arche has pretty much been rebuild with fibre glass! So a whole ring will prbs be the best option.
gwillgti Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 just search car panels on google, hadrian are a big panel distributer, should find a supplier via them. Look on ebay, a few car panel shops selling them on there. obviously ford for original for best quality as pattern parts can be crap, however currently rebuilding my fiesta, got a rear panel, inner wheel arch and full rear quarter (hadrian) for £100 ish all of an acceptable standard.
THOMMA55 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 theres a off side rear panel for a 3 door on ebay

gwillgti Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 just buy from ford if you want it perfect or stick to isopons p38 or 40 you really need to cut the rust out completely, if it's anymore than surface which you can grind back, it will come back through, if it's rotten through watch the filler soak it up like a sponge and give your car huge blisters in about 2 weeks this time of year. just cut it all out and put some good metal in.

gwillgti Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 if your a complete amateur at bodywork and dont know how to repair something with fibreglass and filler, properly Fibreglass and filler will always allow water through and cause the blistering etc,etc how disheartening to see it come back through after a few hours labouring away? don't get me wrong it's fine for dents but not holes in bodywork it's just a quick fix for arthur daley's. If you want to do it on the cheap. cut the rust out get some thin gauge plate, cut it to size and pop round to a small engineering firm or garage where they can weld it up for you, you can then use filler etc to finish it will work out cheaper in the long run and won't come back through.
