Inspired by all the recent stories in the news about the new Tesla and its record-breaking preorders, we set out to discover for ourselves whether the new wave of electric cars lives up to the hype, and see whether we’re ready to swap the pump for the plug. In a film shot with poet Simon Barraclough, we travel from Stonehenge to The Shard in the Tesla Model S P90D L, looking at motoring’s journey from the past to the present, and beyond.
