Apart from the little rubber gasket that looks like a pair of specs in the iscv should there be a paper one too ????

Throttle body gasket SORTED ... All that rubbish and all it was was a 3 quid paper gasket that is not on the throttle body from new .... When u take TB off for first time u gotta add a new gasket

New loom made no difference so not that either had all hoses on and off and blocked etc today AGAIN!! and no leaks so just the gaskets left then im fooked if I know

Yep me and 3 mechanics including a ford specialist have checked and checked again loom on Tomoz then it's gonna be new gasket on tb Monday doin all our heads in now I will keep posting until I crack it

Just changed tps no change the next thing is the loom which I got today from scrapers :/

Well had 2 icv's fitted new maf and the car is still revving it's nuts off one minuite then hunting like a pig the next then it revvs up again then it cuts out and begins the cycle again HELP :"(

Cheers JC I have a go tomoz would the wire being snapped make the car idle up and down and then rev high then stall really weird one ,, I changed iscv and since then its just been runnin bad and that's bout the only thing I found wrong 2 wires where brittle and one actually snapped thanks steve

I found that one of my wires has snapped leading to what I believe is the vss on the gearbox ... ive unscrwed the speedo cable and now im stuck I thinks its plastic ..Does it pull off or unscrew etc... CheeRS Steve

There was a rubber round gasket in tb so cleaned it greased it instant gasket'ed it and still holding at 3500 rpm slowly increasing and smells really rich ... It's gotta be air leak :"""(

Hi got a 1.8 105ps escort cab 1997 ...Car was running ruff so changed the iscv today for new one (what a b*stard of a job that was) anyway put it all back together reset the ecu etc now its reving to about 3000 revs and just holding there and a strong whiff of petrol ....Any ideas ??? Cheerss steve
