  1. Got the engine in and most of the wiring done, just this plug left over. I assume this would have gone into the main loom in the donor car, what connections do I need to make? http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31872.jpg
  2. Thank you. I couldn't release it so I swapped the gearbox mount from the 1.3 over to the zetec, seems to have done the trick. Engine is now on its mounts!
  3. I'm having a bit of difficulty taking that rear gearbox mount of the car, the bolt underneath is proving impossible to move! Any ideas?
  4. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31864.jpg I think that's a nice Zetec sized space!! http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31865.jpg
  5. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31753.jpg Most of the estate stripped now, just the fuel tank to go. May need some advice on wiring it all up!
  6. So I can just release the gases without endangering my life! Lol Also I'm really struggling to get to the wires on the back of the starter, I've tried it from underneath but my hands are just too fat!
  7. The strip down of the estate has begun! What a bloody nightmare, can't get to the wiring for the starter and alternator, also what do I do with the aircon too?
  8. The engine out the Si Estate into my Mk5
  9. sorry to sound dumb, so I can transfer the front subframe with all the suspension components provided I change the top mounts for the front struts? Probs just need to start ripping it apart tbh and comparing parts.
  10. So to use the suspension I need to transfer the whole subframe?
  11. do you know if the interior will fit, those Si seats are quite comfy!
  12. Might just stick to the manual rack then! Eurocarparts lists the same power rack for mk5 and 6
  13. It certainly felt a lot stiffer, might go for the power steering too. It's not just a matter of shortening the exhaust then? I had a quick look underneath and it's looks like a new system, the stickers are still on it!
  14. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31642.jpg Picked the donor up today, ran really well on the 70mile drive home Sills rotten at the rear so don't feel too bad breaking it!
  15. what did you manage to pick up? Escort Si Estate, got a few months ticket too so I can drive it back
