  1. Looks like you've made a nice job of that repair, glad to see the accident hasn't caused you any major problems Really nice car pal, looking forwards to see what you come up with next
  2. That looks awesome, those wheels really beef it up Makes me badly want a van
  3. Nice to see it being treated to a little TLC Your red 3dr looked cock on buddy, are you going down a similar route with this one?
  4. Nice looking car there mate Have you got many plans for it? If i remember correctly, your red one was a very tidy example, so we can expect good things of this
  5. Glad to see you've got it Looks a very tidy example mate. Just needs a new intercooler...
  6. Glad to hear you've got it running properly, bet its a fun drive. Really like this project, i had a pug 306 D-Turbo for about 6 months, was running higher boost and was a little rocket ship. That was making 110 BHP and 166 ft lb so i bet your van will be brilliant with around the 130 mark I loves a nice subtle sleeper too (ignoring the gold alloy lol) What have you got planned for it next?
  7. Looking awesome in the sun man, pepper red is deffo my favourite colour, but then I am biased
  8. I can testify for that, made a huge difference on mine, it felt so much more composed on turn-in. I doubt you'll be taking it off again In fact, i've seen fiestas running two at the same time, so they must be doing something
  9. Good vid that, just goes to show how easily these things can be skewed and customers misled! I never knew the inlet temps reading would affect it so greatly
  10. You've got some nice pictures there dude, looks like some awesome metal was in attendance Car's looking sweet in the sun btw, bet it makes all the winters work worth it Can't help smiling at the old skol drifters
  11. Cheers mate the first drive back in her makes all the stress and graft worth it I agree, i think it looks so much neater without the badges and grills - i put some black mesh in mine. Helps it stand out from the crowd abit too! Yeh its a pain, but part of the fun aswell, like an award ceremony to certify that it's fixed I'm going to wear a tux to mine
  12. Good on you for repairing it mate, it's not an easy (or cheap) option but it is immensely satisfying!! My five-door was written off at the end of last year (woman driver not looking at the road), and its all up and running again now, just awaiting the VIC test. Check out my thread if you need abit of inspiration, unfortunately i didn't get all of the part built pics, but it does show what can be saved http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums/in...howtopic=149503 Good luck and keep us up to date with the progress dude
  13. Nice, that should be quite potent. I've given mine a rebuild too, got a 2l from the scrappy, then had it stripped down and cleaned, right down to the rings. I didn't like the thought of having a worn engine, i'd forever be wondering what power it was actually making and how far the big ends were from going tap-tap-BANG lol. While it was apart, had the flywheel lightened and the bottom end balanced. (Got some ARP's in there aswell to be big end safe ) Also fitted some CATCAM's fast roaders while I was putting it back together. That's why i'm finding it so tempting to give it a size 10 while i'm driving, but coz it's only got 380 miles on the clock, i don't think it'd end well lol! Once yours is done, i fancy a drag down pod, 1.8 vs 2.0 grudge match I like the grille-less-ness, one of the first things i did to it. I've not really seen any others like it.
  14. I would have jumped straight in on the lambda sensor but there are separate codes specifically for it, and so i wondered whether it would relate to something else. Can i disregard the 327 code then?
  15. Howdy all. I've just plugged my car (Escort Finesse running a DEEP ECU) into a fault code reader and it has thrown up a couple of codes. The first is; 172 HEGO sensor fault/lean bank #1 and the second is 327 EGR valve position circuit below minimum voltage of 0.2 volts. Has anyone encountered either of these before? I've been searching around online (http://www.fordf150.net/howto/eecivcodes.php) and have found the following descriptions, 172 Lambda sensor (right) too lean 327 Electronic pressure transducer (EPT)/differential pressure feedback exhaust (DPFE) sensor/electronic vacuum regulator (EVR) But these haven't really cleared it up for me. Any guidance is appreciated
