  1. I got some a couple of years back, they were pretty cheap, but they seem to have been designed for left hand drive cars, they can only be fitted 1 way and have a sort of lip spoiler thing which is upside down on my escort so they lift off the screen when at speed. Haven't bothered changing them as I don't really drive my car much (hasn't moved in 9 months), I'm guessing the newer tesco ones are actually designed for the uk.
  2. My mates mum bought one on an x plate brand new and it had a rusty bootlid when she received it, went back about 3 times before they finally fixed the problem, had probably been sat in a field for a couple of years.
  3. if we are doing non-fords then, the bmw http://www.mod-madness.co.uk/other2/bmw/bmw5.jpg and the mr355 http://www.f355.net/~tk/cars/vga/P9230328.jpg or maybe not
  4. Mine before the RS engine went in (it just looks standard rs now) http://www.mod-madness.co.uk/other2/orion/enginetouchup11.jpg http://www.mod-madness.co.uk/other2/orion/enginetouchup10.jpg My old one (good old cvh) http://www.mod-madness.co.uk/f1ack/5.jpg
  5. Cheers guys, The interior was £1700, £1100 for the leather work, £300 for the carpets & mats, £300 for the gearbox, is still original mr2 panels, just been trimmed to look as close to the ferrari ones as possible. The seats are the same as ones fitted to the F360.
  6. I like that, I think the wheels suit it well, just a small drop needed. Welcome
  7. It's been an expensive project, I think with the repair costs and everything the total money spent on it has been around £23,000 around half the cost of a real one. The orion is still on going, respraying the front bumper this week, bonnet and skirt to follow. Mechanically it needs an exhaust and a handbrake cable, then it should be ready for the road. Aiming to get it on the road in the middle of july. Thats the problem with the 360 kits and the 430 that they are working on, the engine is on display so you have the option of trying to make a fake engine cover or just tinting out the window, either looks wrong. The seats weren't retrimed, the rest of the leather was done to match them, not sure what company did it, it is one up in liverpool, I could find out if you are interested, they've done a spot on job, although apparently they weren't quick doing it, and needed chasing up a lot.
  8. Cheers guys, so good to drive it again. The rear wheel had to be refurbished, and that looks good as new now. Side windows could be changed in the future. Engine is a 2.0 turbo roughly 240bhp, was going to push this up to 300 but might leave it now I was at the southwest motor show sunday, I nearly took this car along, I had the modworld stand right next to the 360 kit builder so I had a few chats with him throughout the day. Did you check out the genuine 360, it had the same seats as my car.
  9. It's taken 6 months for repair at a cost of £7000 + £1700 for a few extras I had done, but I was finally able to pick it up on saturday. They have done an excellent job, got a real nice finish to it, panel gaps are all spot on, drives completely straight (had to have the chasis rails straightened front and back) is almost as good as I did the first time It's a completely new rear end, new front wing and slam panel, had a complete respray... http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/1.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/2.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/3.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/4.jpg And the extra bits: a cream leather & red carpet retrim, ferrari h-gate gear shift and a bit of painting in places I didn't paint. http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/5.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/6.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/7.jpg So good to get her back at last!
  10. For those that don't remember, this was the state of my car 6 months ago http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/crash6.jpg It's taken 6 months for repair at a cost of £7000 + £1700 for a few extras I had done, but I was finally able to pick it up on saturday. They have done an excellent job, got a real nice finish to it, panel gaps are all spot on, drives completely straight (had to have the chasis rails straightened front and back) is almost as good as I did the first time Will get some better pictures when I get a chance but here are a couple when I got her home. It's a completely new rear end, new front wing and slam panel, had a complete respray... http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/1.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/2.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/3.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/4.jpg And the extra bits: a cream leather & red carpet retrim, ferrari h-gate gear shift and a bit of painting in places I didn't paint. http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/5.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/6.jpg http://www.modworld.co.uk/images/other/mr355/repair/7.jpg So good to get her back at last!
  11. I went for a dark silver colour http://www.mod-madness.co.uk/other2/shows/2005/singleton/singleton8.jpg
  12. It was cheaper on my car it was simply the large rubber grommit that goes from the top left of the passenger footwell through to the wheel arch, might be worth checking this is intact before doing the battery tray.
  13. Still no pics, had an update, not good news. It went to the oven to be baked before going to the paint shop to get any air pockets out of the new fibreglass. Unfortunately and the original fibreglass on the doors has broken up, not sure as to the reason behind this but they are now having to strip the doors down and rebuild them to ensure it doesn't crack up when the sun comes out. The retrim has also been delayed, they phoned up to ask what colour thread I wanted them to use for the stitching on the leather, I've said to match the thread used in the seats, so it sounds like this is now underway. At the moment it is looking likely to be the end of May that it will be completed, 6 months after the crash! (should get the prize for the longest running show us your shunt thread). Unfortunately the car was due to be used at another wedding this coming saturday, so I've had to tell them the car isn't available. Still rather the job was done properly rather than being rushed. Will update you guys when I hear more.
  14. Had an update on the car, it is heading off to the paint shop next week, after that it will take around another 2 weeks to be refitted and retrimmed and then I can get it back.
  15. Hoping to get an update tomorrow, not got any pics yet, although I have asked him to take some. Not got a courtesy car, so just driving the bmw at the moment. No where near the cost of a real one, and services cost of a hundred quid rather than 5000 are a bit more managable! Would rather have a real one, but don't think I would use it much, be too protective over it. Had planned to bring the power up to around the 300bhp mark, but not so sure now
