  1. Hi mate, welcome to the club. im also a van owner. i am unable to open the pics work blocks alot of sites but will look on my laptop later. In regards to the exhaust its your best bet to get one built or do it yourself, im going to build a quad exhaust for mine if you want any help or advice give me a shout. my van is the ASBO Van Build
  2. Cheers Micha, Yeh i mentioned on facebook they are getting very rare now ive not seen any advertised at all but if i do will let you know
  3. I have been looking at various options and door speakers too may have mids and tweeters in the doors 3 speakers are going in each front door in fibreglass builds may go with the mids and tweeters
  4. Thanks for all the comments so far. Scottybo it's the bonnet that's kinked on both sides I do have a replacement but not had chance to fit it yet possibly a job for this weekend when my mate comes round. Not touched the van for a week because I've been working away. Just got home tonight so tomorrow I will hopefully finish the 1st side skirts off and make a start on the 2nd before I leave again on Sunday
  5. Thanks Tomsy. Plans up to now- finish side skirts, custom rear bumper, custom lights, possibly a spoiler, full respray, Rear disk conversion Big front brakes Different engine can't decide on a TD or a zetec In the rear going to finish all the panelling and cover in black carpet. Then having a curved build just behind the seats with 4 matching 12 Inch subs. 8 6x9s(4 at the top going down each side) either 6 or 8 matching amps, one or two aux batteries. Black angel eye headlights Black angel eye fogs Prob Missed a few bits too
  6. Hi Lee, yeh its a possibility im on a few different facebook escort groups. I don't think will be doing the roof black I do like the bonnet someone has said to me maybe start them big at the front of the bonnet (not excessive) and the fade them out into the roof getting smaller and smaller so will have another play on photoshop at some point and see
  7. Hi All, Im back into an escort but this time in the form of a Van. its currently a 1.8 D 55 just turned 85K with a good lot of history. Ive got a lot of plans for this inc a big boot build in the back but first on the agenda is the exterior. This is how I got it - http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140706_193132.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140706_193120.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140706_193140.jpg I then fitted full leather seats http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140725_164558.jpg Then came the Evotech front bumper - http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140725_164606.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140726_152754.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140726_154000.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140726_164408.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140726_164402.jpg And Fitted Then I bought a set of BK Racing alloys to refurb and paint then fit. (not all the pics but don't want to put too many up of the process) http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140731_202637.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140801_095535.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140801_142411.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140801_150323.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140801_173158.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140804_170402.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140804_171120.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140805_140001.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/20140805_140222.jpg I have a lot more planned for it I am currently half way thru extending the side skirts for it then im going to get an aftermarket rear bumper, cut it up and mould it to fit the van. Then its engine out full respray and then either a turbo diesel engine going in or a zetec I cant decide at the moment as I do between 800 and 1000 miles a week. In the respray the van is going audi/pearl white and the plastics inc handles etc are going panther black to match the wheels. Someone said to me to do the roof black too but cant decide... heres a few different photoshops of different ideas http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/van-white-roof.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/Van-Black-Roof.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/van-with-flags.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i218/demondriver12345/van-with-flags-and-black-ro.jpg Any opinions or ideas up to now welcome

  11. i dont know about the chassis leg mine faile don sills and was quote £100 for new sills on both sides, which aint bad at all, rear wheel bearing are very easy, i have to put 2 new ones on mine approx 30mins with the right tools. hand brake can be adjusted inside the car if you remove the gaitor or under the car, if doing it inside the car just be careful not too tighten it too much as when i started out i tightened it too much on my old corolla gti twin can and snapped it, the driver shaft gaitor isnt a big job really, i got a pair of universal gaitors for £9.20 (at trade) from local parts shop and didnt take too long at all. now i am not a qualified mechanic but i have just took my time on jobs and learnt as i go (with haynes aswell) as im the same cars failed mot, had very little cash so i just decided im not loosing anything with me doing the work as its off the road anyway!!! id think long and hard mate what it means to you. good luck making a decision!!
