RobMk6 Posted November 15, 2011 Share Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) Im not wanting to sell this car but with my new posting I 'may' have to, (as i'll be buying a cheap diesel anyway) provding of course the right offer comes along as I love it to bits and would rather lock it up in a cover in one of my uncles lock-ups I think the majority of you know the car as the last owner was also a member on here. Its had a HELL of a lot done to it since I've owned it in both mods and repairs/servicing. Such as the MAF was dead when I got it, that was replaced, Door lock on the driver side was replaced.... so on so forth, Reconditioned starter motor has been put on it while I was away, Loads of new sensors put on it for the last MOT, Reconditioned driveshafts on both sides, Exhaust was blowing so I had it up in the air and run fresh welds all around where the pipes meet the boxes etc.... Shed loads of wiring has been done to it for the dash facia modification which you'll see in the pics that will be below. Countless parts replaced that were either on the way out or dead or perhaps close..... Today it had a BRAND NEW battery put on it. Its had new brake pads, New fuel filter, New oil filter, It has 4 new tyres, Couple of rust spots on the boot have been sorted, All been undersealed bar a small patch that I didn't have the time to do before I left for the army, so I'll do that this week as Im home until Saturday. I may not be able to remember tham all as I've not done them all but the list of the MODS are as follows: (if I remember any more I'll add them.) 16" mondeo alloys with new tyres, Stainless exhaust with oval exit, RS2000 front brakes with new pads (cant remember if I changed the disks, will check and report back), Halo lamps with HID bulbs fitted in projector lenses, with wiring all re-done as the original was rubbish, (cars original wiring not altered.) Black and red rear lenses, Clear crystal side repeaters, Laguna Splitter fitted, Colour coded Ghia? grill, Plasma dials fitted with colour change and dimmer switch. (fitted over the originals so can be easily removed), K&N filter fitted with different inlet pipe so the filter sits roughly behind the g'box, Red painted rocker cover. Puma gear knob, 3 rear windows are tinted, Modified dash facia to relocate the Head Unit, heater controls/switches etc... (fantastic looking mods, see pics) Dials fitted to dash mod, (see pics) Voltmeter, Water temp gauge, Boost gauge---(obv the cars not turbo'd its just to fill a hole although it works as a vacuum gauge and would work fully should a turbo conversion be done.... Also has an auxiliary fusebox wired in behind the panel where the HU used to sit. Second 12v socket and Aux switches wired in. Above dash mod has blue LED lights fitted to where the heater controls are now located, Blue LED footwell lights, Angel eye/halo lights re-wired to make them brighter on full beam and also safer (old wiring was pants!!) Car is located in South west Wales, Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire area, However for the next 4 months I'll be based in Leconfield, so can always meet somewhere inbetween if I'm going home that weekend. CheersRob Oh, its also had 2 new track rod ends, and wishbones about 5 months ago, but as I've been away the cars only done maybe 700 miles in that 5 months. new thermostat, new water temp sender/sensor, reconditioned injectors, new exhaust gaskets . Car also has a de-cat but I still have a fairly new standard cat to go with it. Also I feel I need to add that the HU will not be going with the car as i'll never get one again for the price I paid., however if it phases anyone that much I can put a generic CD player in it. plus I need to get another picture of the engine bay as the one thats up is before I got the car.... so gives a false impression.
