98gt
Last week the Escy developed a fairly bad misfire between 2-3000 Rpm, the problem got worse as the engine heated up. Thought it was the coil pack, so I managed to get a replacement for €50. Changed the coil pack and the misfire was still there, but not as bad.... bugger. Remembered that I had used Bosch plugs when I servced it last month, what I didn't know was that you should only use Motorcraft plugs in the Zetec. So I changed the plugs - misfire gone. A week later. misfire is back! It's only happening at 1500 Rpm but it's still annoying. I reckon it must be one of the plug leads - it's all thats' left. Anyone ever had a similar problem have any ideas.............
