vorn_182
just a couple of questions. If i changed my 15's to 17's 1)how much slower would it be 2)does it make the handling better or worse?
pti
hi ya m8 i read recently in FASTCAR mag that for every inch you go up in size you loose 1/2 a second off your 0-60 time also 17,s can upset the handling i,ve just changed my rims for 16" fox 1 evo,s i,ve aiso lowered my GTI 30mm every thing i,ve ever read says if you wanna keep handling and performance 16,s are the way to go if you wanna be a slave to fashion huge rims it is. bear this in mind why do people put there 15s back on to go up the 1/4 mile. Rich
i have just changed back to 16" after being on 14" for a few months, and the difference was really noticeable for 0 -
Colin
I persoanlly have seen any difference in my acceleration to about 80 ish, however I must admit the car struggles to get past 100mph in 5th now, but if I keep it in 4th its no worries, but i don't like to rake it too much, anyways............ With all the "portible police cash machines" around, its not really worth taking the risk..........
