for someone who knows about van wiring

someone i know has y reg van with a digital dash but without the rev counter, is it a straight swap for the digital dash with the rev counter. not sure but i think the rev counter on the zetec is run off the cam phase sensor or ecu but not sure which cable. dont really know anything about the diesel engine.

rev counter on the zetec is off the green wire from the coil pack ,

 

vans are normally off the alternater , but you will need a diesel speedo or it will be badley lazy or go nuts,.
