Chicane16v
Well i got in the car 4am, backed into a wall straight away so was not happy. After sorting that out for a few minutes i drove down the road and turned the fan on, hot, to de-mist car a bit. And the fan made this horrible noise. I cant even describe it. I turned the fan off, turned it on again and it did the same again. I then turned it to cold and i did not make the noise, and has not since. Potential big problems, or just me turning it onto hot straight away with it being extremely cold? scottg17
like a high pitch squeal?
Chicane16v
No not a high pitch sound at all, more like a deep grinding sound.
StewLX
Could be the bearings on the motor, either they are grinding themselves or they have a lot of play and the fan is catching on the housing.
