the needle's do pull off. but when you put the new one on, it will be out. drastically...

i learnt this when change the dials on my old old escort, took the needles off thinking it'd be easier to fit the new back drops, to realise the needle was then out by about 10mph.

only way i could calibrate it was to drive down the road with my clocks hanging out. then with my satnav telling my the speed, i stuck the needle on in the appropriate place. was very tricky, easier if you had access to a rolling road. but after, my clocks where spot on, and read truer than ever before, lol.

lol that sounds like an absoulte nightmare!! i wouldn't fancy doing that at all.

my friend told me the same thing, i just thought i would check with you guys first. This whole thing is turnig in to a bit of a nightmare. The only reson i am doing this is because i managed to get the dial backdrops for £1 marked down from £40.
