smithyandco
Would be interesting to see if anyone can respond to this one...I've got an analog scanner (dial tuning) and being a geek I find it entertaining... (Was even better years ago when you could listen to the police... but you need very expensive kit for that now unless you live in the USA and UK Police transmissions just seem to be a squeal which I assume is encrypted digital goodness.. I could be wrong) Anyway... The problem with mine is that it's difficult to tune as a slight movement on the dial and you need to spend 5mins finding the signal again and it moves itself slowly (stretch in the string using between the dial and the tuner I guess) So I'm after a digital tuning one... So I can lock onto a signal and stay there... Anyone got a cheap one going?

smithyandco
Just general "scanning" For listening to amature radio, Air Traffic control (John lennon airport being the closest and I can pick that up on my crap scanner) CBs from trucks on the M56 etc etc Just general geekness...
