djraks Posted July 25, 2003 Share Posted July 25, 2003 My situation: Bought a 5 door mk6 escort 1.4cl. Spent Shite loads on cosmetic modifications until i realised my engines crap . Now i want an engine conversion but i'm getting mixed ideas from different peeps that don't seem to know wat they r chattin about I was considering a 1.6 rs turbo engine? Any other ideas? i realise that there are other aspects including brakes suspension clutch etc... 900ss Posted July 29, 2003 Share Posted July 29, 2003 As yours is cvh then a S2 turbo mota would be the easiest to fit I guess, or atleast it would drop more or less straight in. Use your box for a while but a S1 box is what you need, or get a S2 box built into your case. Orrrrr buy a comp damaged 130 3i n fit the running gear complete from that. Rear discs, buy a RS rear beam n fit the complete unit or get it from the damaged 3i Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pti Posted July 30, 2003 Share Posted July 30, 2003 go rst cos if you dont do it now you,ll regret it later get a specialist to do it tho cos it aint just the engine that you need you also need the fuel tank as well as loads of other bits and why go to the trouble of changing your drums just go to rst calipers with grooved discs up front cos even the rst has drums at the rear as most of your brakings done on the front any way.
