Theory Behind AIR FILTERS

Taken from another post of mine......

If u have a cosworth u cant use a pancake filter. U need either a 571 K&N induction kit or a vacuum power kit that increases the intake of air through to the combustion chamber of the car. Allowing more oxygen into the chamber allows the fuel to burn at a higher rate and output more power ie bhp!

If u have a motor that has injection technology then use a certified induction kit. K&N are the best in my oppinion.

If u have a CVH engine ie a carb or a CFi engine like my CFi 1.4 *Which is a very rare Escort engine as only 800 of them where ever made in over 6 months b4 the discontinued them then i would use a pancake filter where K&N have just brought them into production for the carbs and the the CFi engines.

Best bet is to contact then for advice on ur kinda car if u dont really get the swing of what im chatting about matey!!.....lol

I have the number somewhere
